Exporting Scalar Values from Vector Fields

If required, you can export the scalar values contained in a selected vector field to a comma-separated values file (*.csv extension).

How to Export Scalar Values from a Vector Field
  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Export Scalar Values button in the Scalar information box on the Data Properties and Settings panel.
    • Right-click the required vector field in the Data Properties and Settings panel and then choose Export Scalar Values in the pop-up menu.

  2. Do the following, as required:
    • Choose the scalar value slots you want to export in the Slots drop-down menu.

      Choose Scalar Values Slots to Export

    • Check the Export All Slots option to export all scalar value slots.

    • Check the Export vertex coordinates option to export the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis coordinates for each vertex along with the corresponding scalar value(s).

  3. Click OK.
  4. Choose a location and file name in the Select a File to Export in CSV dialog and then click Save.
